The struggle to achieve glowing, youthful, and blemish-free skin is
the reality of most ladies and many men after clocking puberty. This reality is

some or all ingredients gotten from organic farms. Organic Farmers do not use
fertilizer, pesticides, or other chemicals to grow their product. The exact
percentage of organic ingredients in a product makes the term
"organic" vary across the world but typically organic farms do not
use laboratory-made substances like parabens, sulfates, chemical fertilizers,
chemical pesticides, etc.

the year, this is because organic skincare products are safe to use and
environmentally friendly.

a skincare product is organic</b>

Now we know what organic skincare
products are but how can they be identified, well for starters organic skincare
products are always branded with certain logos that makes you know they were
made with at least 80% organic ingredients. In the U.S. the term organic
skincare is monitored by Food and Drug Administration
(FDA). A product that has the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)
organic seal, means it contains at least 95% organic ingredients. &nbsp;You may have noticed there was no mention of
the organization existing in Nigeria NAFDAC (National Agency for Food and Drug
Administration and Control) that should be responsible for monitoring and
branding all cosmetic products. NAFDAC has set rules and guidelines that must
be met before beauty products are certified. The only problem is many of these
online vendors that go about claiming that their product is organic do not meet
any of the standards I listed above on what makes a product organic. Some can
even release a product without an ingredient list which is a big red flag. But
never fear, as is popularly said in Yoruba Language “Ogon o le tan laye”
meaning wisdom can never run short. You are in the right place to gain that
enlightening wisdom. There are steps you must take when choosing any product
from a Naija-made brand especially if they claim to be organic so as to be sure
what you are getting your skin into.

It must be
certified by NAFDAC; this one is basic like a product must pass this stage at
least before you think to use it.

Check the
ingredient list; thank God for Google which will help you sift the shaft from
the wheat in terms of ingredients. If the list is not disclosed, my friend run

Make
research on the authenticity; there is no product that you will be the first to
use, especially beauty products, we tend to make decisions based on
recommendations, just trust recommendations from skin experts. There is nowhere
the saying to each his own comes to play like in skincare. 

We all have unique skin types and issues,
so your best bet is that the product you are using doesn’t affect your skin
negatively even if it doesn’t give you desired results.

The skin is the largest organ in the body
that absorbs almost everything applied to it. When you apply harmful substances
to your skin it gets absorbed into your bloodstream. This means equal or even
more care needs to be taken when choosing a skincare product. Organic skincare
when gotten right in these perilous times is better all around. So, follow the
steps I listed above and you will most likely be thankful you did. 

Lastly, if you are acne-prone, breakouts
are normal. Your skin going off a little is no reason to feel dejected or lose
your self-confidence. The skin is part of the body and connected to other
organs. Sometimes it takes beyond topical products and requires a healthy diet
and lifestyle to achieve your dream skin. So if you are sure your skincare
products are safe for the skin and tailored for your skin needs, you don’t have
to give up on it every time your skin seems to be going through a phase, be
patient and remember to always love yourself.
