Polygamy is written into Islamic law, recognised under Nigerian customary law, and has been a feature of life on this continent since before anyone was podcasting about it. What's new isn't the arrangement. What's new is the ring light, the vocabulary, and the absolutely unshakeable confidence with which this generation is repackaging history as innovation.

Well, we're not here to drag anyone. We're here to actually talk about it. All of it. Monogamy, polygamy, ethical non-monogamy, what each one really means, who it serves, who it quietly destroys, and how you're supposed to figure out which one is actually right for your life. ENM practiced with genuine communication and self-awareness can be extraordinary. ENM practiced as avoidant attachment with better branding is just chaos with a glossary.

The Pros: Radical honesty, genuine freedom, intimacy actually designed around who you are rather than who the script says you should be.

The Cons: It demands more emotional work than most people are prepared for. And "ethical" is only as real as the least honest person in the arrangement.

Every relationship structure fails when the people in it are performing instead of participating.

The monogamous couple who stayed together for the children and call it love. The polygamous husband who talks about harmony on a podcast while one wife cries in the kitchen. The polyamorous person collecting partners like they're building a personality, calling it freedom when it's actually fear of intimacy dressed in progressive language. None of these are indictments of the structure. They're indictments of the dishonesty.
