Although the fashion industry is an ever-evolving industry, one trend that seems to have never gone out of style is vintage wears. Of every five people in a group, two may be rocking a vintage wear. This culture has been promoted as a result of the increase in the number of thrift stores. 

Vintage fashion is fashion gotten from old historic pieces and features large repeat patterns ranging from flora designs to a plaid or stripped design. It also includes old historic pieces of accessories and hairstyles. 
There are various reasons why vintage fashion seems to keep coming back in every decade. Recently, I spoke with a good number of genz’s inquiring why they love rocking a vintage wear. Here are their following responses:
Majority talked about how it gives them an opportunity to create a unique style for themselves. Vintage fashion provides a variety of options for people to choose from. From baggy pants to a shoulder padded 1980’s blazer. It could be a flowing maxi dress, a wrapped dress or a midi dress with box pleats. These options give people an alternative allowing them to choose the best way to dress their body creating a sense of individuality. 

Another common reason given is how economically cheap it poses to be. When compared with most modern fashion, vintage wears are affordable especially with the number of thrift stores available. These stores range from the ones from the lower class people to stores that cover the needs of influential people in society. The student who depends on the allowance given to him or her by his parents can comfortably purchase items from a thrift store he or she can afford without any fear or worry of not finding what is needed. 

Vintage fashion has proven to be environmentally friendly. Apart from the modern styles recreated from this old trend, vintage outfits are worn from over 20 years ago. The fashion industry is major in the emission of carbon into the environment through the industrial machines used in making materials. So the use of vintage wears has helped promote the reuse and recycle method of conservation. This is also a sustainable way of living because it reduces the 
It also helps people connect the past and present by giving them a feel of how people looked in the past. There is a story attached to every piece of clothing people wore in the past. It could be a story of a political movement, a fight for rights, or a story of a particular profession. In essence, vintage clothing gives people an opportunity to feel and experience a bit of what people in the past encountered through their clothing.
Vintage clothes are easy and comfortable giving you a "feel-good experience”. Apart from the fact that most vintage wears are free clothes, they also contain natural fibers in them which are less constricting. Rocking flared jeans with a striped pattern shirt is more comfortable than skinny pants.
