Your boyfriend loves you. Like, really loves you. He thinks you're beautiful. He loves spending time with you. He tells his friends you're the best thing that ever happened to him, but also you do things that drive him absolutely insane, and he will never, ever tell you.

Because the moment he does, it becomes a Thing. You'll ask why he didn't say something sooner. You'll wonder what else he's been silently suffering through. You'll accuse him of "keeping score,” and suddenly, the hair strands you left all over his bathroom have turned into a full relationship crisis.

So he stays quiet. He cleans up the hair. He nods when you ask, "What are you thinking?" for the third time in ten minutes. He waits patiently while you take two hours to get ready after texting him, "I'm ready in 5!"

He's learned that some battles aren't worth fighting. That love means tolerating the small annoyances. That you combing your wig over his bathroom sink and leaving hair strands everywhere is just... part of the deal now but just because he's not saying it doesn't mean he's not thinking it. So here it is. The list. The things your boyfriend finds annoying but will take to his grave because he values his peace (and his relationship) too much to bring them up.

1. Asking "What Are You Thinking?" When He's Literally Thinking About Nothing

You'll be sitting in silence. Completely comfortable silence. He's staring into space, brain on autopilot, thinking about absolutely nothing of substance and then you ask: "What are you thinking?"

Now he has to come up with an answer. Because "nothing" isn't acceptable to you. You'll say "you have to be thinking about something." So he scrambles for a thought, any thought, just to satisfy the question.

"Uh... just wondering if Batman could actually afford the Batcave in today's economy."

You were hoping for something deep and emotional. He was genuinely thinking about nothing. Now you're both disappointed.

2. Taking Two Hours to Get Ready After Saying "I'm Almost Done"

6:55 PM: He's showered, dressed, and sitting in the car.

8:10 PM: You finally emerge, looking amazing but completely unbothered by the fact that he's been waiting for over an hour.

He's not even mad. He expected this. He's just wondering why you said 7 PM when you both knew you meant 8:15 PM.

3. The "We Need to Talk" Text With Zero Context

Him: heart stops, checks phone seventeen times, Googles "what does we need to talk mean," reviews last 72 hours of relationship interactions, prepares for breakup

You, four hours later: "So I was thinking we should get a dog."

4. Leaving Hair Strands Everywhere After Combing Your Wig

His bathroom sink: covered in hair strands.

You combed your wig once at his place. Once and now there's enough hair on his bathroom counter to make another wig. He's finding strands in places you didn't even go. In his bed. On his clothes. Stuck to his phone case. It's like a crime scene, but he can't say anything because then he's "complaining about your hair," and that sounds worse than it is.

5. Asking Him to Choose Between Two Identical Outfits

Him: stares at two outfits that look exactly the same "Uh... the first one?"

You: "Really? You don't think the second one is better?"

He tried. He failed. He doesn't know what you wanted him to say. He's accepted this.

6. Saying "I'm Not Hungry" Then Eating Half His Food

Him: stares at his half-empty plate "...you said you weren't hungry."

7. The Overthinking Spiral After He Says Literally Anything

You: "Tired of what? Me? Are you tired of me? Do you not want to hang out anymore? Are you breaking up with me?"

Him: "...I meant I didn't sleep well last night."

8. Rearranging His Stuff When You Come Over "To Make It Look Better"

You walk into his apartment, see his coffee table setup, and immediately start moving things.

Him: watching you reorganize his entire living room "...okay."

He liked it where it was but sure. Your way is fine too.

9. Taking Forever to Decide Where to Eat, Then Saying "I Don't Know" When He Asks

This conversation will loop for 20 minutes before you finally pick the first place he suggested.

10. Saying "Fine" When You're Clearly Not Fine

Him: knows you're not fine, but also knows asking again will make it worse

He's going to spend the next hour trying to figure out what he did wrong. Spoiler: it was probably something small that you've now turned into a federal case in your head.

11. Asking "Do You Think She's Pretty?" About Random Women

You: "That girl. Do you think she's pretty?"

There is no correct answer to this question. He knows it. You know it and yet, you still ask.

You: wraps yourself in the entire blanket like a burrito

Him: lying there, cold and exposed, contemplating his life choices

He could pull the blanket back. But then you'll wake up and accuse him of stealing the blanket. So he just... suffers in silence.

13. Leaving Your Stuff All Over His Place But Getting Mad When He Touches It

Your hair ties are on his counter. Your lip gloss on his nightstand. Your hoodie on his couch. Your charger is plugged into his outlet, but the moment he moves any of it?

You: "Where's my lip gloss? Did you throw it away? Why would you move it?"

It's been there for three weeks. He thought it was abandoned property.

14. The "I'm Cold" Move So He Has to Give You His Jacket

Him: takes off his jacket and gives it to you

Him: now cold, but can't complain because of chivalry

You knew it was going to be cold. You chose not to bring a jacket. This was premeditated.

15. Taking 47 Photos So You Can Pick "The One"

Things women do that annoy their boyfriends but men never say: from "we need to talk" texts to hogging the blanket to asking "do you think she's pretty." The relationship annoyances every couple deals with but nobody talks about.
