You have the unbothered era running, the new pictures are doing numbers, you've told the story of what happened so many times and so calmly that people actually believe you when you say you're healed. Maybe you believe it yourself on most days.

Then their name comes up in a conversation and something in your chest does a thing you didn't ask it to do. Or you're at an owambe minding your business and someone who walks like them comes in and suddenly you're sitting up straighter for no reason. Or it's 2am and you're not sleeping and you know exactly where your mind is going and you're letting it go there and telling yourself it doesn't count because nobody saw.

That's not healed, baby. That's just quiet.

This quiz is not going to ask you how you feel about them because we already know you'll lie. Instead, we're putting you in ten very specific, very real situations and letting your honest answers do the work your mouth has been refusing to do.

And we mean actually, not performatively. You're not pretending to be unbothered, you genuinely are. Whatever happened between you two has settled into something quiet and unremarkable in your life. You can hear their name, see their face, and feel nothing more significant than mild acknowledgment. This is what moving on actually looks like, not the dramatic glow-up version, just a regular Tuesday where they cross your mind briefly and you keep going. Well done. Genuinely. Go enjoy your life.

MOSTLY B's: You're Over It, But You're Human

You've done the work. You're not checking their page, you're not drunk texting, you're not asking mutual friends for updates. But you're also not made of stone. There are days. There are songs. There are moments where something small catches you off guard and you feel it briefly before it passes. That's not a sign that you haven't healed. That's just what it looks like to have genuinely loved someone and moved forward anyway. You're fine. More than fine, actually.

MOSTLY C's: You Think You're Over It

And maybe you are, mostly. But there are things you're still doing, questions you're still asking yourself, information you're still quietly collecting, that suggest there's a part of this you haven't fully finished with yet. That's okay. Healing is not always linear and you don't have to be over it on a schedule. What would help you right now is probably a very honest conversation with yourself about what you're actually still holding onto and why. Not with your group chat. With yourself. You already know what it is.

We say this with love. You are not over your ex. You are in the advanced stages of pretending to be over your ex, which is a different thing entirely, and a thing we have all been through, so there is no judgment here. What there is, is a gentle suggestion that you stop using "I'm fine" as a coping mechanism and start actually dealing with whatever this is. Talk to someone. Journal. Cry properly for once instead of stopping yourself halfway through. You are not as okay as your Instagram suggests and that is completely human. But staying here, in this specific limbo of almost-over-it, is costing you more than you've admitted to yourself yet.
