It’s a pandemic. In Nigeria, Lagos especially, the worth of a rich high class girl is almost being measured in her BBL surgery. If you don’t have one, then, are you really part of the pack? BBL surgeries have become another award to cinch.  A new status to attain. A stepping stone into a high class society for Nigerian women. Little wonder why even women with enviable figures still opt for a BBL surgery.

Why do women get BBLs? There has been a lot of speculation about the reason for ladies getting BBL surgeries, the most notable being that a BBL gets the attention of more men. 

Is that true?

Well,  I decided to ask 5 Nigerian men whose profiles would remain anonymous about their attraction to BBL surgeries and they had a lot to say.

In a candid and revealing conversation, these 5 Nigerian men shared their thoughts on the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).  These men were raw and honest, giving their unique and unfiltered views on this rising trend and how it influences their attraction to women.

Folu: Cringey. I Can’t Take Them Seriously

“I find  BBL surgeries very cringey. It is highly unlikely that I would ever be interested in someone with a fake butt. I can see myself having a one night stand with them but definitely not something long term. It just does not look appealing to me. I personally don’t like  beauty surgeries of any kind. I’m not against it but I would just not be attracted to it.”

Mike: I love a good looking bum

I don’t really care, to be honest. I'm attracted to a good-looking bum. If it's fake, who cares? As long as it looks good. You just have to have a good looking booty. 

I’m very much into looks, so, if a BBL surgery can help you enhance your looks then good for you and me. As long as you’re at no risk of a health complication and it makes you happy I don’t see any reason why I would have a problem with that.  At the end of the day, we can lie to ourselves, but we live in a world where looks are almost everything. The BBL girls are making it big and there’s a reason for that.

Chidi: Most of my exes have BBLs

 "I'm not going to lie, three out of my ex-girlfriends all had BBLs. I don't know why, but for some reason, I keep getting attracted to them. I love a woman with a fat ass. I love curvy thick women so having big bum bum is a must. I think BBLs are unrivaled in their sexiness, especially good ones done by professional doctors. There’s the perfect shape that a BBL gives a bum that is just unique. However, some BBLs don't look so good, so, I'm only attracted to BBLs that actually look good. The bigger your booty is, the better for me.''

Kayode: Gym booty is everything 

“I would pick a gym girl over a BBL girl any time any day. I love a woman with a nicely toned bum. There is a natural bum, then there is a toned gym bum. BBLs are just not the answer for me. I’m not saying I cannot be in a relationship with a BBL girl but I won’t classify them as my “Spec”. I will not go out of my way to look for a girl with a BBL. But, you see those ones that gym and tone their muscles, they can take all my money.

A girl who is doing her squats has that crazy defined bum, and it just looks a lot better than a BBL.

Simon: It’s All About the Face

"I don't care much for BBLs, or bums for that matter to be honest. I'm a face man if I'm being honest. Big or small, BBL or natural, just have a pretty face. I think that it would also surprise a lot of women just how many men do not really care about BBL. Having a pretty face is a big thing for a lot of men. Even if you're lacking in other areas, a fine face can cover up those other flaws. No matter how great looking the BBL is,  if you have a not so good looking face, I  will never be attracted. However, as much as I care about the face more than anything, please don’t have a flat nyash”

In this candid and eye opening conversation, it's evident that the attraction to BBL is as diverse as the individuals involved. In the end, it's so clear that what makes someone attractive is a highly personal matter, and there's no one-size-fits-all answer for ladies.

Should You Get A BBL Surgery To Attract A Man?

I would love to say never but then, it’s my personal opinion as opposed to your personal feelings. I don’t think anyone should have to change a part of themselves to keep or attract a partner. However, I also understand that it is a choice that one makes for themselves devoid of other people’s feelings and opinions. If you believe that doing a BBL will help you attract your kind of man, then maybe you should go ahead.

But first, here are a few things you should consider;

Open Communication: 

Open and honest communication with a potential partner is essential. If you have specific preferences or concerns about physical attributes, discussing them openly can help both parties understand each other's perspectives and make informed decisions.

Long-Term Compatibility: 

Consider whether physical attributes are a make-or-break factor for a long-term relationship. While physical attraction like a great looking booty can be important, it's often not the sole determinant of a successful, lasting relationship. At the end of the day, your partner should get to see other sides of you besides your physical attributes before deciding to be with you.

Respect and Acceptance: 

You have to make a decision that leaves you still respecting yourself and your body. If your decision to do a BBL is one that leaves you less accepting of your body, then it's important to halt until you’ve learnt to love yourself. When you respect yourself and your body, your potential partner will see that and treat you likewise.

Ultimately, What's most important is that you find a partner who makes you happy and respects you for who you are, and vice versa.
